The emphasis at Smith Street Dental Practice is on family dentistry, providing the full range of dental services to all age groups.

We provide an extensive range of services including dental implants, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment and oral surgery. Catering for children's dentistry, we aim to make every child's visit a positive experience.

Smith Street Dental Practice is accepting patients through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule from January 2014, please contact the practice for further information.

Our clinic has a visiting oral surgeon to complete dental implants, wisdom teeth and other surgical treatments. We also have a visiting dentist from Queensland who can perform difficult root canal treatments (endodontics).

We commit to the highest standard of treatment and only use the highest quality Australian laboratories to complete all dental crowns implants and other laboratory work. We also have an onsite laboratory to provide same-day turnaround of denture repairs. The onsite technican can also assist in the rapid turnaround of dental prosthesis for remote clients.

We have the facilities to treat patients experiencing anxiety about work on their teeth under oral or general sedation.

  • Dental implants (surgery and impressions onsite, creation of dental implant via external technician)
  • Dentures and implant-supported dentures (surgery and impressions onsite, dentures ARE created onsite with a technician and only via external technician in special cases)
  • Periodontal maintenance treatment
  • Regular checkups and cleans (including x-rays)
  • Dentistry for the anxious
  • Preventative treatments including fluoride treatment and fissure seals
  • Children's dentistry including sedation (nitrous oxide)
  • Accepting patients through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule
  • Root canal treatment (provided by onsite and external specialists)
  • Removal of teeth, including wisdom teeth
  • Minor oral surgery procedures
  • Crowns and Bridges (surgery and impressions on site, creation of implant via external technician)
  • Dental Veneers and Tooth Bleaching (veneers via external technician, teeth whitening done onsite)
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnoea devices and anti-snoring treatment (client needs to be diagnosed with sleep apnoea, they are referred to the dentist, measurements and impressions are made, which are then sent back to an external specialist for fitting)
  • Treatment for Tooth Grinding and facial pain (diagnosis done onsite, treatment provided via external lab if required).
